KMKinetic Memories

Privacy policy

Your memories remain yours.

This policy explains how Kinetic Echo, operating the Kinetic Memories service, handles enquiries, personal information and deeply personal family material.

Last updated: 16 August 2026

Who we are

Kinetic Memories is a service of Kinetic Echo, ABN 45 630 388 947, based in Canberra, Australia. Zoran personally handles Kinetic Memories enquiries and projects.

Privacy enquiries may be sent to Zoran@kineticmemories.com.au.

What we collect

When you contact us, we collect the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, telephone number, project type, timeframe and message.

If you proceed, we may also receive photographs, video, audio, names, dates, family stories, music preferences and instructions needed to assess, create, review and deliver your project. Please avoid providing material you are not authorised to share.

Why we use it

We use information to respond to enquiries, prepare quotations, confirm authority and consent, create and refine the requested work, deliver files, maintain project and financial records, resolve concerns and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not use a family's photographs, stories or finished work for advertising, training or a public portfolio unless an authorised person gives separate, specific permission.

AI-assisted creation

Creating a moving memory can involve carefully directed third-party tools for restoration, enhancement, image-to-video generation, editing or original instrumental music. These tools assist the process; Zoran reviews the result and makes the final creative decision.

Material submitted to a technology provider may be processed outside Australia. Before production, you may ask which principal providers are proposed for your project. Where a suitable photograph should not be processed in a particular way, please tell us before work begins.

Service providers

We use a limited number of providers to operate the website and service. These may include website and media hosting, secure file transfer, email delivery, Microsoft 365 communications, and specialist AI, editing and music tools. Providers receive only the information reasonably required for their function and operate under their own terms and privacy arrangements.

The website's family-approved demonstration videos are hosted through Cloudflare. Cloudflare Web Analytics provides privacy-focused, aggregate information about website visits and performance without using advertising cookies or creating individual visitor profiles. Website enquiries are transmitted through Resend and delivered to the Kinetic Memories Microsoft 365 mailbox. We do not use advertising pixels or behavioural advertising cookies on this website.

Storage, security and deletion

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect material from unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure, so we also minimise collection and restrict access.

Project material is retained only for the period agreed with you or while reasonably required to complete the service, manage a concern or meet a legal obligation. When it is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it. Routine backups and records required by law may take longer to expire.

Your choices and requests

You may ask what personal information we hold about you, request correction, or ask us to delete material that is no longer required. Some records may need to be retained for legal, accounting, security or dispute-resolution purposes.

Portfolio permission is optional and separate from permission to complete your project. Declining it does not affect the care, price or quality of the service.

Complaints

If you are concerned about how information or family material has been handled, email us with the available details. We will acknowledge the concern promptly, investigate it fairly and aim to respond within 30 days.

If the Privacy Act 1988 applies to the matter and you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The current version and its effective date will remain available on this page. Material already accepted for a project remains governed by the consent and service documents agreed for that project.
